What is a Spray Coat running track?
A spray coat running track is a common breathable polyurethane running track system consisting of a base layer of elastic granules and a surface spray coating. It uses a mixture of black, environmentally friendly granules and polyurethane adhesive to create the elastic layer, then sprays a wear-resistant layer of polyurethane mixed with EPDM granules on top, achieving a balance of elasticity, wear resistance, and slip resistance. spray coat running tracks are suitable for school playgrounds, community sports fields, and leisure fitness tracks. They offer a short construction period, high cost-effectiveness, excellent air permeability and drainage, and a comfortable feel, effectively reducing sports injuries.
What are the four surface layers of a Spray Coat running track?
Spray-painted running tracks are generally divided into four main structural layers:
Marking layer – 50mm wide, using a wear-resistant marking paint to ensure legible and durable markings;
Coating layer – approximately 3mm thick, sprayed with polyurethane and EPDM granules, creating a non-slip and wear-resistant surface;
Cushioning layer – approximately 10mm thick, using a mixture of black environmentally friendly granules and polyurethane adhesive to provide elasticity and a comfortable feel;
Primer layer – Applied to the asphalt or cement base, it seals, protects against moisture, and enhances adhesion, ensuring the overall structure is strong and durable.
Spray Coat Running Track Technology
The bottom layer is made of adhesive (JN01) mixed with environmentally friendly rubber particles.
The surface layer is made of EPDM rubber particles and track surface material (R09) sprayed together.
After molding, it has a porous structure, which is breathable and water-permeable. It can be used for training and competition immediately after rain or flushing the venue.
